Unleash your library card’s new “super powers” by checking out the latest additions to the growing selection of digital services available at the Library- STARZ streaming movies, Hoopla , Freegal Movies and Zinio. STARZ steaming movies is a new feature available through OverDrive, Inc. In addition to the thousands of titles already available in the OverDrive catalog, over 100 new Streaming Video titles from Starz Digital Media are now available. OverDrive Streaming Video is a convenient and exciting way to instantly watch videos anytime, anywhere, on any computer, tablet or mobile device with an internet connection.
Hoopla is a digital media service which enables patrons to borrow a great selection of movies, television shows, educational/instructional videos, documentaries, music, and audiobooks via their browser, smartphone or tablet (iOS 6 and via select Android devices). Titles are available for library patrons to stream on their mobile devices or PC’s.
Freegal Movies offers access to thousands of feature films and television episodes from major content providers.  There is no software to download, as the service is browser or app based, like popular services you may have used before.
Zinio, the world’s largest newsstand, offers full color, interactive digital magazines for your enjoyment. Browse the collection of popular titles with no holds, no checkout periods, and no limit to the number of magazines you can download. Check out the magazines you want in your computer/tablet browser; and stream the magazine instantly on your computer (both PC and Mac) browser or access the checked out magazines on a portable media device for download/offline reading. Check out as many issues as you want and keep them in your account as long as you wish.

Don’t have a library card? Visit your local branch to sign up today.  A San Antonio Public Library Card is your free all access pass to millions of books, DVDs, music and movie downloads, streaming and more. Cards are free for all Bexar County Residents. Simply stop by any branch location with a photo ID and proof of current address. Children under 18 may be issued cards if accompanied by a parent or guardian with a photo ID and proof of current address.
